PARISH SCHOOL OF RELIGION

PEGGY KRUPP has been a parishioner at Our Lady of Providence since 1982. She lives with her husband and 5 children. She is a full time teacher at St. Clement of Rome School. She has been active with our Parish School of Religion for almost twenty years. The 97/98 school year began her first year as the program’s coordinator. She received her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from The University of Missouri and has earned Religious Education certification through Paul VI Institute. In addition to spending time with her family and supporting her children at their various sporting events, Peggy enjoys reading and serving as cantor at OLP masses.

MARIA STUCKEL teaches the first grade in our Parish School of Religion. She enjoys watching the children grow in their faith. Teaching PSR gives her an opportunity to become involved with the children and their families in parish activities, helping them recognize that they are an important part of the parish family. Maria is married and has two daughters who attend Our Lady of Providence day school. She also manages to work a part-time job for Edward Jones. Her spare time is spent enjoying time with her family and supporting her daughters in all their activities.

KATHY HENSLER on the PSR faculty since 1983, Kathy has taught in our second grade class for the past seven years. This particularly involves sacramental preparation for First Reconciliation and First Communion. Kathy teaches 5 year olds at St. Lucas Preschool and looks forward to meeting up with some of them when they come to PSR at OLP. She has been a member of Our Lady of Providence for many years and serves as a Eucharistic minister. Her now grown children received their religious instruction at OLP. When free, Kathy enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, reading and is working on her game of golf.

NANCY BEAMANN will begin her sixth year as a PSR teacher for the 2006/07 school year. Her own children attended PSR here at OLP. Loving children and the opportunity to open the word of God brought her to serving as a catechist to our third graders. Nancy does infant childcare at St. Philip’s Early Childhood Center for her full time job. She donates her time making up the altar server’s schedule and works closely with these young children during the training sessions. Besides spending time with her husband and two boys, Nancy is a big Cardinal fan. She also enjoys reading, baking and attending movies.

STEPHANIE HANSEN teaches the fourth grade and has six years experience with PSR. Fourth grade focuses on learning the Commandments and Beatitudes in a number of inviting ways. Stephanie felt a real call to teach PSR at a time when she was searching for ways to serve God and neighbors. Stephanie is married with four children. Two of her children are graduates of OLP day school and the other two still attend. PSR enables Stephanie to know the kids beyond venues such as sports or Girl Scouts. Stephanie works as an office administrator. She enjoys spending time with her family and serving as volleyball coach for her daughter’s team.

SISTER CORINNE STRUCKOFF will begin her third year with PSR. An Augusta, MO native and big cardinal fan, Sister cares for elderly members of her order, the Franciscans of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. After 38 years in teaching she missed connection with a parish and chose to join Our Lady of Providence. Fifth grade is her favorite grade. This is a year of transition from primary to junior high. Sister finds it a real privilege to help develop Catholic faith and knowledge of our practices.

CHISTIE SCHNEIDER teaches the sixth grade for our Parish School of Religion. She is married with two children, both graduates of the OLP day school. Christie holds a degree in teaching and works full time teaching fourth graders at St. Dominic Savio School.
