The ACA is the Catholic version of the United Way and takes place
each May throughout the entire archdiocese. Every parish has a local
chairman, and a large number of volunteers are needed to solicit
donations from fellow parishioners. This is a perfect opportunity
to give of your treasure, as well as your time and talent.
Please contact the parish office if you can help.
. GIVING TREE
An opportunity to use your time and talent by helping those in need, the Giving Tree is offered each Advent. Parishioners are asked to take a tag “ornament” from the tree and purchase the clothing item. All gifts go to Sts. Joachim and Ann Parish in Old Mines and are distributed by the Rural Parish Workers. This is a wonderful way to make Christmas a little brighter for the less fortunate. For more information call Nancy Thomas at 842-1231.
An annual parish event is held at the end of September. Its purpose is to increase funds for the parish, to build community spirit, and to have fun as a parish family. Activities include a raffle, auctions, prizes, booths, games, neighborhood parade, dinner and music. All parish organizations participate in some way. Generous people make this event successful, so here is a wonderful opportunity to share of your time and talent. Planning meetings are from March through the event. All are welcome to grow in friendship as they join in organizing this vital parish event. To help coordinate the event, contact Gary & Mary Blanke at 729-7874.

This four person scramble is held on the first Sunday of June. Besides golfing there is a silent and oral auction and a gala dinner. Both men and women are welcome. The proceeds benefit Our Lady of Providence School. If interested please contact Joe Selsor at 842-3571.
