EXTRAORDINARY MINISTERS OF COMMUNION
Commissioned during a Sunday Liturgy in a formal ceremony, these men and women assist in the distribution of the Holy Eucharist at Sunday Masses. In addition, they assist at the daily Eucharistic celebrations. Eucharistic Ministers also serve as sacristans, cleaning and setting out the sacred vessels. Eucharistic “teams” are scheduled quarterly. New members are always encouraged to join. Orientation meetings are held periodically. Interested persons are asked to call Lisa Bozdeck at 729-0653 or email@example.com
In addition to our Priest and deacons, Our Lady of Providence parishioners
are invited to share in the ministry of proclaiming the Word of
God to the parish family. They share their time and talent at all
daily, Sunday and Holy Day Masses. All men and women with appropriate
skills are encouraged to serve. Please call Jo Ann Perkins
These are parishioners who voluntarily care for the sanctuary, sacristy,
sacred vessels, altar linens, vestments and floral arrangements.
By taking responsibility for these sacred items, the sacristans
use their time and talent to ensure that areas and items are available
and ready at the proper time. If interested call Doris
Mantia at 842-0280.
Their duties include: greeting people as they enter church, helping
with seating, collecting the offering, assisting with communicants’
approach to the altar, and distributing the weekly bulletins. As
good stewards, the ushers give of their time and talent to facilitate
Sunday worship for the parish family. Men and women who are interested
in this ministry please contact Jo Ann Perkins at 270-3118.
