“My goal is to help make
a difference in my students’ lives. I want to encourage them
to be their best selves. I believe that in reading the works of others,
middle-school students can identify with others’ experiences,
conflicts, and emotions and become more aware of and more comfortable
with whom they are becoming.”
I earned B.S. in Elementary Education
from St. Thomas Aquinas College in Sparkill, New York and a Masters
in the Art of Teaching from Webster University. I have Missouri Teacher
Certification for Grades 1-8. I have 33 years of teaching experience
in the St. Louis Archdiocese. This is my second year as a language
arts teacher at OLP.
I love teaching at OLP because of the family atmosphere and the mutual
support among the staff and the parents who encourage their children
to grow in the mission of OLP. This year I will be sharing a 7th grade
homeroom with Mrs. Lisa Whetstine. I will be teaching 7th and 8th
grade English and 7th grade literature.
