LITURGICAL MINISTRIES
ALTAR
SERVERS
Boys and girls begin sharing their time and talent as early as the fifth grade and are encouraged to continue serving into their high school years. They assist the priest during every Mass and at other spiritual functions, such as Stations of the Cross and Benediction. All interested young people willing to help with this ministry are asked to call Lynn Holler, 849-5022. |

BEREAVEMENT
COMMITTEE
This new group offers assistance to parish families at the time
of death. There are two programs: a funeral liturgy preparation
which meets with the family to help plan the funeral Mass, and the
support group for those who are dealing with mourning and loss.
To become part of this ministry, contact Pat Menning
at 544-6802 or Mary Ann Prives at 631-7382.
EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS
Commissioned during a Sunday Liturgy in a formal ceremony, these men and women assist in the distribution of the Holy Eucharist at Sunday Masses. In addition, they assist at the daily Eucharistic celebrations. Eucharistic Ministers also serve as sacristans, cleaning and setting out the sacred vessels. Eucharistic “teams” are scheduled quarterly. New members are always encouraged to join. Orientation meetings are held periodically. Interested persons are asked to call Lisa Bozdeck at 729-0653 or mrsboz29@yahoo.com |

LECTORS
Lectors are the readers who proclaim God’s Word at all Sunday and Holy Day Masses. Lectors also read the general intercessions and announcements. A love for the scriptures and appropriate skills are necessary. Anyone interested in becoming a lector should contact Jo Ann Perkins, 270-3118 or jerkinsperkins@netscape.net

MUSIC
Music raises our worship to a higher level whether it is instrumental, a single voice, or the voices of the assembly united in song. We welcome instrumentalists of all kinds, cantors who will sing the responsorial psalm and lead the assembly, and adults who would like to join our choir.

WORSHIP COMMITEE
This group works on may levels to make our liturgies meaningful. With our pastor, they increase the assembly’s understanding
of the liturgy. The Worship Comittee develops the theme of a season, through Art, Environment, Education and Formation.
ART AND ENVIRONMENT
Artists, designers, craftspeople and helpers prepare and install
banners and other decorations appropriate to the liturgical season.
To contribute in this way. Please contact the parish
office if you can help.
USHERS AND GREETERS
In mirroring Christ we strive to be inviting and hospitable, meeting
the needs of those who join us in worship. We are in the process
of organizing this ministry. We welcome men and women who would
like to serve the assembly in this way. If you are interested in
this service, contact Jo Ann Perkins, 270-3118, jerkinsperkins@netscape.net.
SACRISTANS
Our sacristans voluntarily care for the sanctuary, sacristy, sacred vessels, altar linens, vestments and floral arrangements. These parishioners ensure that these sacred items are available and ready at the proper time.
CHURCH CLEANERS
Church cleaning is done each Friday after morning Mass, and also prior to major feasts. These are voluntary men and women who work behind the scenes to maintain our church. If you can help occasionally, please contact Anne Kruse for information at 843-0335.
